is updated to “World Math-fusion Olympiad”, still referred to as WMO for short. World Math-fusion Olympiad (WMO)
is a global Math competition attended by multinational elementary and middle school students who enjoy Math. Closely
related to real life and connected with science, technology, engineering and art, WMO breaks the traditional format of
math competitions by challenging contestants to apply creative and integrated methods to solve problems that focus
on border-crossing thinking through interesting and entertaining activities in a festive atmosphere.
The goals of WMO competition are to promote international exchange among mathematically gifted students,
to establish a math-based innovative education paradigm, and to cultivate future convergent leaders with the
ability to view learning and the world from novel perspectives by stimulating their curiosity and spirit of inquiry.
